Stratham Fair race set STRATHAM — The 35th annual Stratham Fair Road Race isscheduled for Saturday, July 26. The 5.7-mile race, which runs in conjunction with the StrathamFair, is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. A two-person relay event— with each runner running 2.85 miles — is alsoincorporated into the race, which begins and ends on Route 33 infront of the Stratham Hill Park entrance. A free half-mile Fun Runfor kids is scheduled to begin at 8:45 a.m. Pre-race day entry fee for individual runners is $12; $24 forrelays. Race day entry is $17 for individuals; $34 for relays. Thefirst 125 registered runners/teams receive shirts. There is freeadmission to the Stratham Fair for all entrants with race numbers,the day of the race only. The overnight camp, which is open to female athletes enteringgrades 6-12, will feature individual player development, small- andfull-sided games, team concepts of offense and defense, divisionsof competition according to grade and specialized goalkeeperinstruction. The camp staff will include Olympic development, high school,college and nationally certified coaches. The staff also includestalented female collegiate players as counseling staff. Seacoast Half Marathon set for Nov. 9 This year's Seacoast Half Marathon will be run on Sunday, Nov. 9.The 13.1-mile race starts and finishes at Portsmouth High School,and takes runners through Rye and New Castle. The race is limitedto 1,200 runners and walkers; the 2007 race sold out by Labor Day.People came from 20 states, Canada and England to run last year'sSeacoast Half Marathon. In 2006, itwas the Market Square Steeple Fund. Last year, the race donated the$45,000 earned after expenses to New Heights.
